Closca Bottle + App | Drink Water, Make A Statement
Leveraging design and technology to reduce plastic. A bottle that latches onto you and a mobile app to locate places to refill water.
If you are like me, you probably have a go-to water bottle but it's typically very bulky, heavy, or even just a regular plastic bottle that we end up throwing away. That being said, none really tailor to a busy lifestyle, especially if you’re someone who drinks a lot of water and carries it around town (remember, 6-8 glasses a day).
Que the Closca Bottle + App project.
Closca has launched this highly functional water bottle that is easy to clean, easy to attach to your bag or your bike, and comes with an app that shows you where you can refill your bottle for free. The Closca Bottle makes sure you get water wherever and whenever you need, while still maintaining your on-the-go lifestyle and making an impact on both the tech industry and the world! What’s not to LOVE? I totally just backed their Kickstarter.
The Closca Bottle is made it out of borosilicate glass, one of the strongest and toughest glasses on the market, and is 100% BPA free, impact resistant and recyclable. Closca has also used this eco-friendly bottle to develop their own App - the Closca Water App - which enables you to find free water sources around you, while also giving you the ability to rate and leave comments at these locations you use. This lets you communicate with the healthy, plastic-free community that use the Closca Water App, helping both you and other users out!
The main goal when creating this product was to enlighten and inspire consumers to build a healthier world by reducing the amount of plastic that ends up in landfills and oceans. On Closca’s Kickstarter page, they even mention that according to National Geographic, 80 billion bottles accumulate in our oceans and landfills, with every bottle taking over 400 years to decompose! By using this water bottle, you not only look good, but you feel good about giving back to your environment and the world around you! #WaterDifferenceWeCanMake
