Dyson's noise-canceling headphones blow filtered air at your face

Active noise cancellation meets on-the-go air purification. This is the Dyson Zone headphones, a solution to both city noise and air pollution.

I’ve personally tested every device Dyson has ever released, and I stand behind its commitment to giving us living cleaner and healthier lifestyles. But when it released Dyson Zone—headphones with air purification—earlier this year, I thought, Futuristic right? But do we really need this?

Earlier last month, as the worst air quality in the world hit NYC, I changed my tune. Air pollution due to the spread of wildfires is unfortunately our new reality. Maybe Dyson was right to think that this type of wearable tech really is our future.

Here’s what it’s like to wear them

Put on the headphones, the ear cups are spongy and soft and you get the maximum level of active noise canceling/ or there was a noticeable noise canceling effect. Double tap the ear cup to switch to Transparency mode to hear noise around you. Pop on the detachable visor for purified air to your mouth and nose, kind of like your own personal bubble of purified air. Flip the visor down to pause your airflow, audio and noise cancellation, letting you better hear who you’re talking to.

The earcups are spongy and soft, and once I put the Dyson Zone on, there was a noticeable noise canceling effect.

I’ve never seen a product like this and apparently others too- I got a lot of looks. It’s Dyson’s first step into wearables. And I’m already impressed. Would you try these ?
