These safety-focused tech provide the tools and resources needed to stay safer if you ever find yourself in a dangerous situation.
I want to note that having the ability to call for help quickly can be a life-saver, so make sure that your devices are always charged. Also, for parents— I would recommend you teach this to your kids and grandparents: Emergency services can be reached on Android and iOS devices by pressing the power button five times. In an emergency, you can trigger an emergency SOS just saying a preprogrammed codeword and the app calls 911 and your pre-programed emergency contacts. . Once you activate the SOS, video from your phone streams to your emergency contacts.
For those who are traveling this app is useful in an emergency setting and will show you the nearest police, fire, and consulate.
Other functionalities include fake calls. You can trigger the SOS to make a phone call and customize the caller ID. That function is especially useful when the victims have no access to their phones or don’t want to let the potential threat know they are asking for help. Imagine, going on a date and excusing yourself from a call.
Additionally, the app had safety checks and will let friends and family know when you make it to your destination.
