Here’s everything Apple just announced at the WWDC 2022

Apple kicked off its Worldwide Developer Conference in person with a slew of new developments. Here’s everything Apple just announced: New MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, M2 chip, iPhone software and more

iOS 16

The lock screen is getting an upgrade-- a more customizable lock screen and notifications that roll in from the bottom to minimize clutter.

You’ll be able to edit messages you've already sent — goodbye typos! — and to unsend messages entirely.

You can lock your hidden photos.

SharePlay (which lets you, for example, watch a streamed movie in sync with a friend) will now work in iMessage, not just over FaceTime.)

Live Text will be able to translate and replace text it detects in a photo, allowing you to more easily read through something like a menu in a language you don’t know.

If you use Family Sharing to limit your kids’ iPad screen time, said kids will now be able to request more time via iMessage.

CarPlay is also getting a massive overhaul — Apple is basically looking to take over your car’s entire instrument cluster. It’ll support things like speed readouts, fuel gauges, AC control, etc; what works where, of course, will depend on what the car maker allows. Apple says to expect more news here “late next year.”

Continuity camera: use your iPhone as a webcam! The coolest thing is being able to go to desk view.. it uses the wide angle camera to show both the desk and you in the same shot.

Apple unveiled a redesigned MacBook Air powered by its new in-house silicon, the M2 chip. Apple says the chip is 18% faster than the previous-generation M1.

WatchOS 9, the latest software for the Apple Watch, will let wearers track how long they spend in each stage of sleep.

Apple said it is working with car makers to expand the capabilities of CarPlay, allowing it to run climate control and more.
