Up, Uber, and away...
Uber is going air-bound. The ride-hailing and food delivery app unveiled its Eats delivery drone at the Forbes 30 Under 30 Summit, which sports rotating wings that can fly for up to eight minutes. The goal of the device isn’t to arrive at users’ doors ready to serve warm takeout though—instead, Uber will use the drones to travel from a restaurant to a pre-determined location, where a driver will pick up the food and complete the last leg of delivery. Here’s to hoping the drones have strong hands…or innocent bystanders could get a spaghetti shower before an important meeting.
