Ringly: If you like it, then put a ring on it

I'm always missing calls and texts when my phone is buried deep in my purse.

But NOW, you'll never (ever) miss a call with this ring bling. que: Ringly.

Ringly is a smart ring, but no you can't make phone calls with it. This beautiful wearable lights up and vibrates when you receive a notification via Bluetooth to either an iOS or Android app.

Whenever a text, call, calendar alert, or email comes in, Ringly vibrates (like a phone would). It can react to push notifications from Instagram, Facebook, Snapchat, and more. My favorite feature? All of this is customizable, You set your preferences down to the number of vibrations and the color of the notification. Which could, for example, flash green for your bff and pink for your lover.

The Ringly has a tiny LED light on one side, which flashes five different colors for various types of notifications. All Ringly is doing is letting you know someone is pinging you, it's like a tiny assistant on your finger who is telling you what is going on.

It doesn't have all the bells and whistles an Apple Watch might have-- but it's definitely a must have for the fashion-forward tech savvy girl who doesn't want to stare at her phone all day long. Um hello? Life is all about the real life interactions.

So here are the facts:
You customize notifications that are worth putting on your finger
Ringly's band is made with 18 carat gold-plated brass
There are a variety of precious and semi-precious gem stones choose from
Ringly comes with a cool charging ring box that acts as a charging dock

Pros

  • Easy to set up
  • Notification system is discreet and efficient
  • Ringly looks pretty inconspicuous
  • Battery lasts up to 2 days
  • It also comes in a bracelet

Cons

  • It's expensive, is it worth the investment?
  • Smells weird
  • Style won't suit everyone

So my rating for this? YAY - Thumbs up for functionality and a style.
I love the fact that Ringly is clearly trying to make “smart” jewelry attractive enough to be worn as..well, jewelry.
