A new iPhone to a possible return of the Macbook Air, this is what we expect to see at the #AppleEvent

Fancy a new iPhone? You are in luck and you might go broke again soon.

Yup, it's that time of year again... The big Apple event. All I can think about: what do they have for me this time that I can't afford?

Here's what we will likely see:

A new set of iPhone devices, a new Apple Watch, and possibly a range of other devices too. The event itself is set to take place on September 12 at 10 a.m. Pacific Time, though no matter where you live you should be able to live-stream it for yourself.

Here’s some rumored info we heard around the web.

THREE IPHONES

A gold 5.8 inch iPhone called the XS. And a bigger 6.5 inch gold phone called the XS Plus. Because someone leaked Apple's publicity pictures to the website 9to5Mac (see above).

A 'budget' iPhone, maybe called the iPhone 9 or maybe not, measuring 6.1 inches that is rumoured to cost between $600 - $700 and will have a cheaper LCD panel instead of OLED, no 3D Touch and just one rear camera.

Yes, agreed. That is still expensive. Though the enormously wealthy ($85.6 billion) investor Warren Buffett said last week the current iPhone costing $999 was “enormously underpriced”.

Yep. All that sort of hype pushed Apple shares up last week to a peak of $223.

Why did I never buy Apple shares? *weeps*

APPLE WATCH SERIES 4

There's also a new version of the AppleWatch, with a larger display and reduced edges. Other rumors about the watch indicate Apple may do away with the Wi-Fi model altogether — leaving only the LTE model (you will likely still be able to use Wi-Fi without paying for LTE with this model).

MACBOOK AIR

Apple has long been expected to release a new low-cost MacBook, and rumors indicate the company will introduce a refresh of the MacBook Air. The new device is expected to feature Intel’s 8th-generation processors, along with a larger display. The updated computer will reportedly get a 13-inch Retina display, and will likely feature modern ports, like USB-C.
