Have 5 friends? Get Spotify for just $2.50 per month
If you're still listening to Spotify with those annoying ads, 1) stop and 2) today is your lucky day! I'll let you in on a little secret: Spotify just upgraded its family plan so that it’s a much better, dirt cheap deal.
You can now have up to six family members (and by family, I mean friends) on a plan for just $14.99 a month, which also happens to match and Google Play Music and Apple Music’s own family plan.
So, just to be clear: nobody on your family plan needs to be a part of your actual family. You just need to split a $14.99 Spotify subscription six ways, which comes out to about $2.50 per month for unlimited music, podcasts, and video streaming.
Adding people to a Spotify family plan is as easy as sending a mass email to friend with an invite link from your account. Once they accept your invite, they'll have full access to Spotify without ads, there's no sharing music libraries either.
Spotify bills the plan in full to the main account holder, so other members have to pay that person their share of the cost. To make that process easy, you can use Venmo or Facebook messenger.
