Walmart, a faster way to pay

Walmart is rewarding tech-savvy customers with a faster way to pay. The retailer announced that it would be introducing a “Check out with me” option this holiday season that allows customers to skip the dreaded checkout line by paying for their carts in locations scattered around the store.

Walmart is also hoping to become everyone’s go-to place to buy gifts by releasing digital maps of stores via its app that give shoppers the exact locations of products, as a way to help customers navigate the store more easily. It’s also stocking up on toys, since Toys ‘R’ Us isn’t around anymore (RIP), revealing that the stores will be offering 30% more children’s items and the site will add 40% more. Meaning Santa’s going to have a much bigger selection this year.
