ChatGPT Announces Parental Controls

ChatGPT now has parental controls. Parents can link their teen’s account to their own, but it’s only for ages 13 to 17 — since under 13 isn’t allowed under OpenAI’s policy.

With linked accounts, parents can see how often their teen uses AI, what topics they’re exploring, and even set limits like screen time or filters. Teens still get their own space to learn and create, but with guardrails that keep things safe.
