Childproofing Your Kids iPhone Part 1: Screening Explicit Photos

If you don’t want your child seeing or sending nudes… keep scrolling.

You can actually stop your kids from seeing or sending nudes… if you have an iPhone, sorry Android/Samsung users, I don’t have a solution for you yet.

I’m Jessica and I’m a tech expert and this is part one of how to childproof your kids phone…

Most parents don’t even know this setting exists, so here’s a step by step guide on how to turn it on.

Go into Settings. Scroll down and tap Screen Time

Then, under Screen Time, tap Communication Safety.
From there,  toggle ‘Check for Sensitive Photos’ to ON.

Now, anytime your child gets — or even tries to send — something explicit, it’s automatically blurred with a warning.
And it’s not just within Messages — this also works with AirDrop, FaceTime video messages, Contact Posters, Shared Albums, and even some third party apps.

And if something like this does happen, the child is given choices: they can block the sender, leave a group chat, message a trusted adult, or tap into online safety resources

If your kid has an iPhone, turn this setting on NOW, It’s one of the simplest ways to keep them safe online.
