Meta X Kylie Jenner Smart Glasses

Meta just partnered with Kylie Jenner to launch their “Starfire” smart glasses and I have thoughts.

These are the first smart glasses that don’t look or feel like a computer on your face. They’re fashionable and actually go with your oufit.

The Design

The Starfire has a slim oval frame inspired by Kylie's personal style, and it comes in two different frame colors, classic black or dark tortoise. They also have a transitional lens available with the black frame. The glasses have a tiny gem on the right lens meant to catch light like camera flashes. Very on-brand for King Kylie.

The Starfire starts at $399.

Here's What you're Actually Getting:

Built-in Meta AI, hands-free Ultra HD photos and video, calls, music, podcasts, all without touching your phone. You can even set Kylie's voice as your Meta AI, so she's the one reading out your battery life and answering your questions.

There's also a metal nose bridge, which came directly from conversations with Kylie, designed so makeup doesn't transfer onto the frames.

As someone who's been covering tech in the fashion space for 15 years, this is the shift I've been waiting for.

This partnership goes way beyond fashion. Not long ago, smart glasses meant choosing between cool tech and something you’d actually want to wear.

Not anymore.
What’s interesting is this started as a technology challenge, and now it’s becoming a fashion statement.

The glasses are available now and yes, they're prescription compatible.
