We are compiling a list of black women in tech and need your help to bring awareness

Systemic racism is weaved into the technology industry and STEM. Black talent still only makes up single-digit percentages of the workforce at many major tech companies. When you look at the leadership statistics, the numbers are even bleaker. The gender and race balance is unjust and it is up to us to shed a light on black women in tech, to hire them, promote them and encourage them. 

This is how we encourage the female youth into STEM fields in the future. This is how we can ensure that the advancement of technology and scientific discovery will reflect the world around us and the people in it. Confronting racial inequalities in our industry, as well as our entire society, is a lifelong endeavor and we all must bear the burden of change. We must commit to promoting an equitable, inclusive and diverse industry. Right now, more than ever, it's time to put in the work.
