ToDoist: Managing Your Life Just Got Easier

Trying to keep track of all the things you need to do can be tough when you’re trying to balance work, school, and your personal life. I can’t tell you the number of to do lists I’ve scribbled down and forgot about over the years. But ToDoist has made all of that easier, allowing me to organize all of my projects and tasks in one place.

ToDoist allows you to manage and prioritize your tasks to become more productive. On the app, you can create to-do lists and projects and organize and prioritize different tasks so you know what to focus on. ToDoist even syncs across devices, and you can use it on both your phone or computer. You can also collaborate on projects and tasks with up to 5 people under the basic plan.

Whether you’re struggling to manage projects for school or work or just trying to stay more productive, ToDoist can help you better organize your life.

How it works:

Upon downloading the app, you’ll be asked to create an account or log in to an existing one. It’ll then bring you to your daily tasks page where you can keep track of your to-dos for the day. There’s also a welcome checklist that lists some tips on how to use ToDoist.

The design looks simple and minimalistic, and it’s very easy to use.

There are also different theme options in settings ranging from dark to neutral to different colors. Creating projects is easy and so is assigning tasks and subtasks. This is great for when I’m trying to organize and separate all my to-dos whether for my TechSesh apprenticeship or school work. What’s even better is you can add separate sections under each project and assign priorities which I use to help keep track of what tasks I need to focus on the most. You can also share projects and tasks with other team members if you’re working on something together. Upgrading to the premium version of ToDoist adds even more features such as adding reminders, filters and labels, more themes, and different templates.

There’s a daily tasks page which lists all the to-dos for the day. Next up is my favorite feature of ToDoist: upcoming tasks. The upcoming tasks page allows you to see all the tasks that you have coming up in the next few weeks which helps me plan ahead. ToDoist even has a productivity tracker to track how many tasks you complete daily and weekly. I personally love this feature because I can see how productive I’ve been each day.
