Content Creation Gadgets

Content creation doesn’t have to be so complicated and draining when you have the right tools at your fingertips to help you simplify and streamline your process. My motto: Keep it Simple

You want technology and gadgets to work with you, not against you.

Here’s a list of some of my favorite gadgets that will help support you as you create content for your personal brand or business.

1. Blue Yeti USB Mic

I use this mic for recording podcasts, YouTube video voice overs, or if I just need to sound good on tv interviews and Zoom calls. It captures crisp, clear audio and makes it sound like I’m in a studio, even though I’m just sitting at my desk.

2. Lightweight Tripod

This Amazon Basics tripod makes it really easy for you to be that person who carries around their tripod for the “shot.” The reason I like it is because it’s super lightweight to carry and gives you a steady shot. Because it’s lightweight, I would consider also buying some sandbags to hold your tripod down if you’re using it outside.

3. Heavy Duty Tripod

If you are looking for a heavy duty tripod to place expensive equipment like lights and cameras— the EEKOTO tripod is a great buy and won’t break the bank.

4. Gorilla Pod Stand – Flexible Tripod

This phone tripod comes in handy when you want it to stay put on your desk. It folds easily and compactly, great to use on the go— it’s light and has flexible legs with strong rubber feet that wrap around objects for stability anywhere.

5. Mevo Streaming Camera

If you are steamer — you know you usually need a ton of gear to livestream. but the Mevo start makes it easy to wirelessly and remotely live stream to IG, YT, FB Live, Twitch and all the major platforms. Mevo Start is designed for longform events and can stream or record for 6+ hours. What’s great is that you can also get multiple of these and create different angles for your broadcast.

Onto lighting- it's essential for any kind of content creation.

I have a few that I use for different purposed and different brands.

6. The Litra glow, is an adjustable streaming light you can clip to your monitor that's compact but packed with big features so I can always put MY best-lit face in front of the camera. Great for Zoom calls and anything on the laptop/computer.

7. The Beamo is an LED light especially for phones that gives you pro-grade lighting in any condition. It’s compact and you can even take it 100 feet underwater. It’s easy to control, as you can dim it down continuously or just tap the five-step button until you find your ideal brightness. Has a strobe light function, too.

8. If you film longer videos, say for YT with a camera, I recommend the Neewer Metal 10.6 inch round video light. It pacts a powerful punch of soft brightness and is a very east way to get a pleasant reflection in the eyes.

Halo Ring lights are great for selfies especially on a gray day when the lighting isn’t the best. Also, compatible with many smartphones and most cameras, the Neewer RL-12 LED ring light ($98) diffuses lighting around the subject while reducing the appearance of harsh shadows. It also comes with two plastic color filters

9. Glide Gear Teleprompter

I’m no actress, and I cannot remember lines for the life of me, but the words I use make a huge difference. That’s why I love using my teleprompter from Glide Gear. It’s super easy to put together and you can use your phone or tablet to read off of.

10.  Microsoft Surface Arc Ergo Friendly Mouse

I have really bad tendonitis pain and blame it on using a bad mouse before. This mouse helps you avoid any aches and pains that come with poor hand posture or repetitive tasks while using your mouse. Ergonomics are your friends!
