U by Moen Smart Faucet Review

IF you know me, you know I’m always looking or ways to integrate the latest tech into my own house so Shout out to Moen for this post.

We’re all used to seeing smartphones, smartwatches, and even smart speakers. But what about smart kitchens? Moen is bringing technology to the kitchen with a new smart faucet, called the U by Moen smart faucet and it delivers some surprisingly practical features.

These days, I am cooking every meal at home, plus the snacks (this was pre COVID too), running a business and a baby at home. So I am all about tech aimed to make my life a little bit easier. So today I am going to show you the new faucet and show you how it’s transformed my kitchen experience and seriously saved me time.

So, just how smart is it? Let me show you ...let’s start with Voice controlled technology that will make your every day easier.

You can control the faucet with voice activation featuring your digital assistant, including Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant.

Also run your faucet by hands free sensor, with handle or the smartphone app.

You can also create your own personalized presets in the app for quick tasks. This is handy for when you have unique water demands.

This makes daily tasks a breeze. With just a few words, your faucet provides the perfect amount and temperature of water.

If you are also always rushing to get dinner prepared… with a simple command, your pasta pot is being filled with exactly four quarts of hot water while you chop veggies. Or simply wave your hand in front of the hands-free sensor for on-demand water.I am all about tech aimed to make my life a little bit easier.

Some other cool things you can do with the faucet, specific and generic commands, like:

(Specific command) Hey Alexa ask Moen to dispense 1⁄2 a cup of water at 120 degrees

(Generic command) Hey Alexa ask Moen to dispense 1 1⁄2 cups

My fave? Moen fill the baby bottle

My life is really busy as an entrepreneur and even more so with a year old baby. Since this faucet is voice-activated I can do many things at once and it saves me so much time.

Some specs to point out:

The LED built into the wave sensor changes color from blue to purple to red to indicate when the water is heating or cooling, while a handle on the side of the faucet offers manual control over temperature.

The U by Moen Smart Faucet comes in nine kitchen faucet designs and many finishes so you can find the perfect one for your kitchen and budget.

So, my thoughts? I love it. When it comes to having a little time in my day, to make my family dinner, and to have time to eat with them, too. I am all for it.

The good: The most innovative feature of the U by Moen Smart Faucet is its ability to also precisely dispense water in specific quantities, either through the mobile app or smart assistant voice commands. It should handle requests in metric and imperial measurements from as small as a tablespoon up to 15 gallons, and even at a specifically requested temperature. It’s precise, the water will only flow once a vessel has been placed under the faucet and detected. If there’s a chef or baker in your life, this sounds like an upgrade that could improve their kitchen workflow.

The bad: The faucet is expensive, but you get what you pay for...

Any time saved in my busy schedule is a blessing and with this Smart Faucet by Moen, your time in the kitchen will become more efficient.
