Paid Social Media/Editorial Intern

TechSesh is looking for a driven Social Media/Editorial Intern to assist the marketing team with fun content pieces, writing and editing and conceptualizing social posts. Ideally, we're looking for someone who has knowledge of social media, and has a passion for the written word. This is a fast-paced, hands-on opportunity to nurture your production and editorial skills.

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Work closely with the Editorial + Marketing team planning & executing weekly blog + social media content

  • Manually post approved content and videos across all channels

  • Create blog posts and using Photoshop and Over app

  • Assist in the writing and ideation of stories for the TechSesh brands stories, website and marketing email campaigns

  • Help manage our channels content

  • Research and share findings during weekly analysis meetings

  • Conduct research on articles, profiles, and brand partners

  • Support project management for our many editorial projects

  • Assist the Editorial + Marketing team in administrative and organizational tasks

 

What You’ll Have:

  • Should be in school or recently graduated with a background in Communications, Writing, or Journalism

  • Be able to handle multiple tasks and projects at once

  • Impeccable organization and communication skills, attention to detail, and a respect for deadlines

  • Confident in juggling a range of different tasks and prioritizing for urgency and effect

  • Can communicate well with not only your team members, but any third parties

  • Positive attitude and willingness to take on anything given to them in a fast-paced environment

  • Comfortable with writing

 

What You’ll Learn:

  • Valuable experience shaping TechSesh’s content initiatives

  • Quality time with all team members across departments

  • Understand the logistics behind content planning and executing editorial projects

  • How to organize and implement information and required processes

  • How to effectively solve problems on the fly and under pressure

  • How to plan, document, arrange and produce events

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

This Internship is for college credit and a huge opportunity to build a great portfolio! Applicants are required to be a currently-enrolled college or university student working towards a degree.

 

This is a paid internship.

15 hours a week.

Naziri was recently listed on Inc.'s 30 Inspirational Women in Tech and Create, Harper’s Bazaar,  and Cultivate Top 100 Women in Tech. Her work has appeared in CBS, Fox Good Day LA, TechCrunch, The Washington Post, Mashable, The Travel Channel, NPR, Inside Edition, Yahoo!, and Business Insider, and more. In addition, Naziri consults with technology brands including Google, Qualcomm, Dell, and Samsung, creating online content, mobile marketing strategy, videos and social media to get their message out to a millennial audience.
