Poshmark...Hacking your closet
We have some rough news for those of you who buy and sell clothes faster than a department store. Poshmark—the millennial-loved marketplace for buying and selling pieces from your closet—has reported a data breach of its 50 million users by an “authorized third party.”
According to a blog post by the brand, email addresses, usernames, city data, scrambled passwords, and more were taken. But—luckily for those of us who don’t really like the idea of people knowing where we live—no physical address info was compromised. Neither was financial data (you’re safe to live another day, credit card). The hackers will, however, probably know about any fashion trends you’re ashamed to have participated in during high school and have since sold.
